About @thejacs
Hi there! This is @thejacs, and I develope video games.
I work in Digital marketing, SEO and Programming, what I enjoy, but my real digital passion is to play and of course develope video games. Gamer and Game designer ; -)
I can make whatever kind of game, from a Platformer, Aracade or puzzle, to an RPG, Strategy game or a Shooter.
For me, being a gamer means playing deep games for one player mainly (not exclusively). It means to have a big background of played (and finished!) titles. It means to replay or discover classic/retro games already forgotten by most (It's fascinating to dive into that sea of old titles). It means to find that indie with that special something. It means some online competitive gaming from time to time. It means to be interested on gaming history.
I like History, Science, Travel, Sports, Diving, Rol board games, watch Movies and Read. And of course, play video games of several categories.
My three perfect frames for a game (also for a book or a movie) are Sci Fi-horror, Medieval-Fantasy and History related. Also I enjoy regular Science ficcion and Police/crime plots.
To be a solo game developer isn't easy. Basically you've to take care everything by your self, and this can be sometimes overwhelming: Game designing, Programming, 2D/3D art & graphics, Music & Sound, Script writing, Localization, even Voices or Marketing!
Nevertheless, I really enjoy it. I love to design and create video games. I feel privileged to be one of those "weird guys" who can combine such a different skills (better or worse) to make the games I just want to make. Of course, always grateful for that small but invaluable help from a friend or collaboration.
Thanks for playing ,
@thejacs
